The clock is ticking forward
while my clock is winding down
like the last grain of sand
flowing through the hour glass.
My time is coming to an end
as did my dad’s and those of our ancestors
who sailed the seas of life before us.
Now, the sun is slowly setting,
and here I am,
attempting to watch its beauty
one last time.
